PIEDMONTESE WINES

BARBERA D'ALBA D.O.C. DONNA MARGHERITA

Barbera Donna Margherita Barbera Donna Margherita

From select 30-year-old vines in Roddino, as noted in Falstaff Magazine, this Barbera is "clearly marked on the palate, juicy, precise fruit, lovely cherries, smoothly tapering off". The vibrant harmony and freshness earned it a place in Wine Spectator, whose leading byline, Bruce Sanderson, assures, " Suave and harmonious from the start to the long finish."

BAROLO D.O.C.G.

Barolo DOCG Barolo DOCG

Clarity and order dominate the bright ruby red, amidst berries and pomegranate, violets and aromas of camphor, candied cherry and licorice in this "classic mix old-timers favored "equally divided between Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto and Barolo, made "the way it was made before the fashion for single-vineyard wines took hold" in Antonio Galloni's words.

BAROLO D.O.C.G. CERRETTA

Barolo Cerretta Barolo Cerretta

A wine that “is not shouting but calmly displaying its excellent qualities” sanctions Dencanter in assessing Barolo Cerretta, a silky nectar with enveloping tannins made from the well-known Serralunga d'Alba cru. Qualities and scents that Wine Spectator sums up as: " Fragrant and rich, this red offers a core od strawberry, cherry, floral, mint and hay aromas and flavors playing the solidly-built frame." Ripe cherry coexists with white pepper, just as star anise peeps out through tobacco notes, and among the innumerable recognizable scents it is in the harmonious dance of contrasts where elegance stands out.

BAROLO D.O.C.G. SERRA

Barolo Serra Barolo Serra

The dense tannins supporting the balsamic weave of Barolo Serra Giovanni Rosso are now recognizable on the palate by critics around the world, despite the small dimensions of the cru, a niche relegated to the most refined drinkers. A structured, complex wine. Bruce Sanderson writes in Wine Spectator, "Licorice, leather and brandy-steeped cherry notes are the hallmarks of this supple, polished red, which builds to a long aftertaste of cherry, spice and mineral".

BAROLO D.O.C.G. DEL COMUNE DI SERRALUNGA D'ALBA

Barolo Serralunga Barolo Serralunga

"Seductive," "Radiant," "Of impressive power and composure" - these are just three of the countless definitions that the most important names in the wine world have said about Barolo DOCG del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba, a great Giovanni Rosso classic with smooth and luminous tannins. A balancing act between mass and agility, pulp and energy, youthful tension and menthol notes summarises our work.

BAROLO D.O.C.G. VIGNARIONDA ESTER CANALE ROSSO

Barolo Vignarionda Barolo Vignarionda

"A gleaming expression of the legendary Vignarionda’s terroir" Slow Wine claims, right on the mark, since it is this cru that has to reign, undisputed protagonist, over the spearhead of Giovani Rosso production. One reads in Wine Enthusiast, " This textbook, dream Barolo opens with quintessential aromas of underbrush, rose petal, dried herb and forest berry. Youthfully austere."

LANGHE D.O.C. NEBBIOLO

Nebbiolo DOC Nebbiolo DOC

The most classic of Nebbiolos, supported by a fine matrix of tannins, emblematic of the grape variety it represents in all its carat. " Notes of berries, violets, dried leaves and gentle spices. In the mouth it is straightforward, enveloping, with beautiful finesse and freshness, pleasantly tannic, dry and finishes with a hint of orange peel." Falstaff Magazine reads. There is no form of conviviality that it cannot accompany to perfection.

LANGHE D.O.C. NEBBIOLO ESTER CANALE ROSSO

Nebbiolo Ester Canale Rosso Nebbiolo Ester Canale Rosso

Giovanni Rosso's finest Nebbiolo, from the lands of Vigna Rionda. Judged "impeccably balanced" by Wine Enthusiast, likened in its character to that of a "rose petal" by James Suckling, Wine Advocate describes it as a “lean and shiny appearance as it pours from the bottle." But the most fitting definitions are not always the most timely, so Gary Walsh writes for The Wine Front "A light touch here, and comes over as graceful, but tactile."

ROERO ARNEIS D.O.C.G.

Roero Arneis Roero Arneis

Elegance, balance and minerality to be drunk immediately, indeed as soon as possible, as agreed by international critics who copiously review it, also converting on the extreme versatility and aromatic generosity of this Roero Arneis. " The palate is full and persistent, with an excellent correspondence between nose and mouth and a refined balance." reads Falstaff Magazine, while Bruce Sanderson writes in Wine Spectator, "Rich, to the point of viscous, this white delivers floral, peach and citrus flavors, with a touch of salinity."

SICILIAN WINES

ETNA BIANCO D.O.P.

Etna Bianco Etna-Bianco

Captivating and bright, from volcanic soils. Etna Bianco from Contrada Montedolce is a concentrated serum of Sicilian gastronomic explosion: it ranges from floral notes of mandarin blossom to candied ginger, whilst the palate is tickled by alternated salt and lemon. Wine Spectator speaks of "baked pineapple" in calling it "a richer approach to young Carricante, but well-balanced and vibrant throughout.”.

ETNA ROSSO D.O.P.

Etna Rosso Etna Rosso

" Piedmontese Davide Rosso captures the soul of Etna in this vibrant red " claims Decanter. From the foothills of the mountains to the slopes of the volcano, this is our challenge in Sicily, Italy's other great wine-growing region, resulting in a wine that carries with it the essence of tradition. A penetrating, bloody red, " piercing freshness, a zest of orange or kumquat bitterness, small, firm berries and plenty of spices too." as Tom Cannavan writes: " It's a solid and powerful wine, and yet has agility too."
